• Unfortunately, we had another disruption to the gaming schedule, and our regularly scheduled game yesterday was forced to be cancelled. Real-life interfered with a death in the extended family and various other personal reasons – the end result was only 3 of our regular players being available. We will be hopefully resuming our normal schedule on 11/17, with session video available on 11/29.

  • Since we lost the video content, here is a basic summary of the last game session, so that you are up to date: We started by finishing off the existing combat with the Emperor Birds, that was rather unexpectedly interrupted during the prior session. The group managed to pull out a victory, and even save both of the goblins, though they ended up with a lot of damage overall. After some extended healing and rest, they opted to continue forth. To their left, several hallways headed into the darkness, from which they could hear a distant crash and roaring sound…

  • Unfortunately, due to a technical difficulty, there will be no episode 6.  While attempting to utilize my new audio system, I accidentally disabled or likely just forgot to hit record.  Thus the entire session has no audio, or very bad audio – bad enough to not even want to publish. I have since sorted out the technical difficulties, and expect episode 7 will be much improved. Sadly, these sorts of challenges occasional crop up, when it is a one man crew recording, videoing, producing, and editing a game session (along with running the game). #Pathfinder2e #AgeofAshes #Paizo #Halfling13 #Audioishard

  • Not much work today with the website or content, as we are enjoying Beggar’s Night with the kids. Not only is this a good season for candy, but I have always found this to be the best time to find or collect gaming props – there are an abundance of supplies at costume shops. And many of them go on sale either today or tomorrow. Regardless, stay safe out there, and don’t eat too much sugar.

  • I must be doing something right, or perhaps I am being overly optimistic, because the activity metrics on the site are trending very favorably. Although statistics and metrics can always be misleading, I of course study them to try to see the future by learning from the past. Relative to the website at least, I have shown a steady increase in traffic since May, with a 10% or higher growth for each of the last months. Admittedly, when the traffic is as low as it is, 10% is not much extra activity. And prior to May, these volumes bounced up…

  • Haven’t posted the last few days, primarily due to the previously mentioned office remodel. Over the weekend, we ventured forth to our local Ikea, and purchased numerous pieces for the office. Since early Friday, my computer systems have been dismantled, and they are only now getting back to operational status. Fortunately, most of the design has worked very well – I have much more desk space and now a dedicated crafting and hobby section. The trade off is unfortunately less storage space, which is forcing a bit of overall purge. As a result, a large amount of past material has…

  • Making the move to remodel my workspace quite a bit, and hopefully gain a much cleaner area. Of course, step one is a massive purge of all the various collections I have gathered over the years. Going thru all the pieces, I have been discovering that there has been a lot of waste – projects started and items purchased that ended up going no where and being abandoned or forgotten. This also gives me a good chance to shred and eliminate old financial paperwork that I have been hording, which is causing my shredder a bit of difficulty – it…

  • Ongoing evolution of my efforts. I spent some more time at our gaming location last night, attempting to recreate and then resolve the audio hum I was getting during the last session. At the time, it was very concerning – I had to reduce the gain in all cases to almost silent to eliminate it. Of course, since I forgot to record the session, I am not sure if it was just in the monitoring headphones, or in the actual audio. I worked to recreate the situation last night, complete with all the microphones, cables, and connections. And despite my…
