It appears that the final piece of Chapter 2 of the Carrion Crown will be wrapping up this weekend, as the group faces off against the Promethean. This chapter has been a bit heavier on the roleplay and investigation, so it is finally time for a full drag-out fight. Of course, it happens to be at the top of an iron tower, in a thunderstorm with heavy rain and winds, while lightning strikes down at the machinery. As the group has explored, they have suffered damage and even one death from the experiments they discovered, but they are holding strong.…

Decided to make an effort to consolidate my Twitch efforts into a single channel, instead of multiple different ones. That makes it somewhat easier to stream from different sources, without having to change the settings, and gives me additional content to fill the time somewhat between game sessions. If you have been a follower of my “Halfling13” channel, please note I will no longer be posting there. Instead, I hope you will entertain a follow for “Halfling13_Gaming” instead. Right now, I am filling the space between games with the occasional 3d print. Who knows, I may end up dropping the…

Having had much time this week due to numerous work projects, but we are managing to continue our Warhammer campaign this evening. The group is currently wandering the streets of Bogenhafen, trying to unravel the mysteries that are ongoing. Following the session last week, I of course did my usual routine of posting the video to YouTube, and reviewing the analytics. It is very interesting to see the differences between Warhammer and Pathfinder key words. Functionally, the Warhammer session last week was far more “popular” in terms of straight views – as in I broke into the 20’s of views.…

As planned, and rather surprisingly, we actually managed to resume our old Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay campaign yesterday. This is a campaign we began in April 2021, but then had to suspend in June 2021 due to summer activities. All of the players had been enjoying the game and storyline, but timing just was not workable, and we had our other larger group activities occupying the Sunday time slots. Over the months, we made several attempts, but it was never successful due to availability. However, this week we resumed the story, now with updated and cleaned up graphics, tools, and details.…

With the weather turning nice, I have jumped into some new woodworking projects, with the long-term goal of setting up a small side business. I am not looking for a new career, mainly just a funding source for the hobby and a means to slowly grow or improve the other tools. Of course, trying to find a product which fits all the criteria – sells well, inexpensive materials, and not much effort to create. Current product I am working with is a planter box. The box itself is a cube, about 16″ on each side, with a farmhouse “x” pattern…

It has been a long time now (about a year), but it seems we might finally be making a return to our Warhammer Fantasy RPG campaign of The Enemy Within. Since December, we have been trying to arrange the schedule, and its appears that Moorslieb has finally aligned. If you haven’t seen or followed this particular campaign, it is of course set in the Empire, in the world of Warhammer. The group is a band of misfits, who came together during random chance, attempting to claim an inheritance that they didn’t actually have, by impersonating a nobleman whom they had…

In celebration of Star Wars Day, I managed to play another round of X-Wing, this time with just my son. He was flying a revised Scum list, while I had a revised Rebel squadron. Although we understood the game and it progressed much faster, the game only lasted 7 turns until my entire fleet was destroyed, leaving me with a single X-wing with only a single hull point. Video evidence of the slaughter is now up on YouTube, and we did stream it live on Twitch. This may turn into a routine Wednesday activity, though still too early to be…

No mid-week games at this time, either for our current X-Wing schedule or a renewal of the Warhammer Fantasy RPG campaign – though both are still planned. Scheduling is just interfering, and players are not available. I do want to eventually establish a routine schedule, if only for consistency, but in standard fashion life gets in the way. So far, the only reliable schedule has been our Sunday RPG sessions, and that only really fits two campaigns at most. Saturdays are dedicated to my son’s efforts and family activities, and weekdays have plenty of other things going on. In the…
