Unfortunately, no new releases this week as we adapt to the holiday schedules. We had a conflict with our recent Kingmaker game, and due to vacation schedules we are on a break from Warhammer. I did manage to get a new Legion video out last week, and I am looking for additional openings for more recording, but the work schedule with end of the year tasks has been tying up most of the free time. I also have several Mordheim battles queued up for processing, that should be worked on over the next few weeks. And perhaps a new mini-painting…

With the holidays approaching, I am hoping to have more time to get caught up on the battle reports, though I expect other tasks and distractions will continue to get in the way. However, we do have a new Legion release this week. In Star Wars Legion, we continue Tour of Duty battles with Evan fielding his Coruscant Guard register, against returning player Carter fielding the Hyper Logic Battalion for the Separatists. Both forces are starting clean with 600 points, putting us still in the Recon format. Despite the smaller size, the game doesn’t seem to play any faster, or…

Its a thin week this week, with only a new Warhammer FRP live-play video. The rest of the editing queue has been jammed up with the holidays in the US, and challenges with scheduling. For Warhammer, the group travels further into the lost valley, in search of the Empire’s artifact, Ghal-Maraz. The scene takes a turn, when they discover a hidden entrance under a waterfall, and begin to explore the caverns beyond. Supernatural events begin to occur, making the group question their motivations and their belief in what they are seeing – are they being mislead or on the true…

No wargaming content this week, due to scheduling conflicts limiting my editing time. We do however have our recent Pathfinder and Warhammer FRP sessions available. In our Kingmaker campaign, the group continues to explore the caverns holding the Cult of Lamashtu. After suffering some effects of poisonous spores, they found themselves in a tough fight with the apparently head priest of the cult. Opting for a break, they recovered, which was convenient as they then discovered an even greater threat deeper in the cave. They are now fighting for survival against a Chimera, which is perhaps a bit overpowered for…

It has been several years since I attempted live-streaming our games to Twitch, but after a bit of experimentation recently, that has been revived. Of course, the audience is tiny. But our advances in our setup over the last many months and my slow experiences with the formats have made this an option again. Currently, I am set to live-stream our live play RPG games only, Kingmaker every other Sunday at 2 PM EST, and The Enemy Within every Tuesday at 7 PM EST. Perhaps the audience will grow, but if not, its another avenue to advertise for the YouTube…

Its been a busy week with the near end of football season and numerous family events, but we managed to get a couple more games completed this week. Despite some newly released models for both Legion and Bolt Action, I have had very little time to paint or game, or work on much beyond the weekly commitments. For Star Wars Legion, we have a new Tour of Duty battle between Josh’s Separatists, and my novice Empire force. We did end up making some fairly sizeable mechanics errors, but in discussion, it was two-sided. As a result, we did not opt…

On the tabletop front, we have a new Mordheim battle report, with the Carnival of Chaos taking on the Dwarf Treasure Hunters. This was a rather lopsided battle – the Carnival is a fraction of the battle strength of the Dwarves, but that was known going into the fight (and intentional). As a result of the fight, regardless of the results, all Carnival participants gained +3 experience, making the attempt well worth it. As expected, the battle was fast and bloody, though the results were not entirely predictable. https://youtu.be/XYwzVo6IehU Over on the Roleplaying side, we have the next session of…

Spent some time with the 3d printer, now that it is functional again, and printed more of my paint wall. This finally moved the last of the paint bottles up to the wall where they are easily viewable – now I just need to sort them by color to make it a bit cleaner. However, it does free up more space on the table itself which is very helpful. Next stage is to sort all the paints, and perhaps move a few of the other storage spots around, but I think I am pretty close to finished for now.
