• As I posted yesterday, I am itemizing my various 3d Printing materials, in the hopes others might find them useful, and perhaps generate Amazon associates traffic.  If these items are of value to you, please consider using my affiliate link, in order to contribute to the site. I mentioned I used Gray PLA from Hatchbox for most of my printing.  However, I also have a temperature sensitive blue to white PLA from Gizmo Dorks (http://amzn.to/2HJMf2V), which I used to successfully print the large sized skull project for my son.  I was hesitant initially – color changing PLA is more expensive,…

  • In an effort to try to generate an active and valid Amazon associates account, it is necessary for me to drive 3 purchases thru Amazon, of products I provide links to.  This in turn generates a small bit of income for my site, sharing a commission at no cost to the buyer with me.  Admittedly, my website traffic is very small, but just in case, I wanted to go over the gear that I have settled into using with my 3d Printer.  If you want to help me out, consider each of these links as a small way to do…

  • Continuing to mass produce the tiles and bases, keeping the printer running non-stop.  At this point, I have another big set ready for assembly, right as another batch of magnets arrived.  Paint is ready to go as well, really the only piece I am missing now is more super glue.  Should be enough to fill out my collection, and allow for most decently sized rooms.  After this, I will need to expand my scope to include the unusual shapes and sizes, though for the most part those won’t require a large quantity. Managed to just about finish off the second…

  • Its been a while since I have played, though I continue to collect and gather the pieces.  In theory, we might be able to fit a game in this weekend – one of our gaming group players has been asking to play again and seems rather eager.  Of course, that means I have to find a spare evening or day, which is difficult with the current schedule.  If it works out, I hopefully will have a battle report video to post.  And this will give me a rare opportunity to team up with my son and play the Empire against…

  • I was distracted last night, and forgot to post my regular note, so here is a make up one 🙂  While I am travelling this week, I have been pushing the 3d Printer to run non-stop again, continuing to produce the True-Tiles (thanks to my wife for removing parts and cleaning the tray as they finish).  After the last session, I realized I still had a bit to go, to make sure I have enough pieces to fill out whatever room the group goes into.  There isn’t any particular pieces that are missing, more of a general total count.  However,…

  • Going to be working on getting caught up somewhat on my gaming videos and rpg sessions, but as a short summary of the last Pathfinder session, we managed to pretty much wrap up the climax of chapter 4.  For many weeks, the group has been tracking down Mokmurian, the leader of the giants who have been raiding Varisia, and they had traveled deep into enemy territory.  Although the adventure began to drag over the last couple of sessions (partly due to the overly large player group making sessions slower, and partly due to perhaps a few too many challenges and…

  • With a painted and otherwise complete set of True-Tiles in hand, we had our next session of Pathfinder on Sunday, reaching the climax of Chapter 4 of the Rise of the Runelords.  Unfortunately, I discovered I had not actually printed a large enough set, I still had several more to do before having enough to handle the large final chamber.  However, what I did have was met with lots of excitement from the group, who really liked both the design and painting.  The magnets helped out a lot – assembly was fast and easy once I had located all the…

  • Running a bit late today, thanks to an overly busy schedule with work.  Falling behind with the video sessions for the gaming, thanks to my distractions with 3d printing, but managing to successfully print a lot of material.  In particular, I should have enough True-Tiles for the upcoming Pathfinder session on Sunday, which should go over well.  Haven’t started any of the painting yet, that will likely be during my travel next week, but they at least are usable.  And thanks to the suggestion, they are magnetic as well, although I rather quickly used up the first pack of magnetic…
