• The Enemy Within (Warhammer FRP) 5.49

Its been many game sessions, but our group has finally arrived at the abandoned Dwarven Citadel of Karak Skygge, only to find it overrun by Skaven. These Skaven have been plotting for ages in the storyline, manipulating events across the region, and are nearing the completion of their ultimate goal. Our group is on a time limit, as events begin to escalate and they struggle to find a way into the fort, without alerting the entire garrison. https://youtu.be/pQ7Xajzkpy8

  • Kingmaker 3-10 (Pathfinder 2e)

Our group is approaching the conclusion of Chapter 3, having engaged the Trolls deep in the forest. Bolstered by a new monk member, and healed up from past excursions, the group seeks to defeat the trolls, and remove their threat to the lands. What exactly has the monsters organized and worked up is still unknown, but our heroes are set on correcting the problem, by sword if needed. https://youtu.be/d8KBs4KEw4o

  • The Treant

With my recent focus on painting efforts, I had a bit of a break from the dwarven warband, and opted to paint up a large Treant, specifically Ohro the Tree Shepherd from The Beholder Miniatures. I am intending to use this piece for a special Mordheim scenario, king of the hill style battle. You may also be noticing a bit of a trend, in that most of the recent models are from The Beholder Miniatures. Their style is very Warhammer-esque, and I like the poses and such. As a result, we have several of their collections, and seem to be…

  • Gryphon Down

Had a request to share some of our custom material from the Enemy Within Campaign, so I am posting the graphics and Foundry JSON file here. This is for the Gryphon Down sequence near Gladbeich, in which the group is hired by the locals to investigate a scary noise of a monster from the mountains. Full credit where due – I found this map somewhere on the internet, I did not create it myself. But it fit well with the adventure, so I went with it. I haven’t actually shared these files before, so hopefully this set works. I included…

  • Gotrek Doomaxe and Drakki Trollbane

A second set of dwarves for my upcoming Dwarven Treasure Hunters warband, for use in Mordheim. These are Trollslayer Heroes, specifically Gotrek Doomaxe and Drakki Trollbane, a pair of disgraced dwarves eager to meet their death’s in glorious battle. The painting was done exclusively with Army Painter colors, rather than relying on Contrast Paints. This leads to different details, mainly blended thru the use of Dark Shade. This is my first real attempt at edge highlighting – I was happy with the results on the skin around the face, arms, and legs. My attempts at other pieces were less successful,…

  • The Enemy Within (Warhammer FRP) 5.47

Our band of heroes, having witnessed the Skaven assault on the Brass Keep (and its ultimate failure), is now fleeing in front of the wave of paniced and starving ratmen. Racing down the valley, an attempt to collapse the trail ultimately failed, providing only minimal gains for the group. Now the group is cut off from each other, and faces a large group of Skaven, protecting one of many escape tunnels back to the underground warrens. They are facing a desperate battle, against overwhelming odds and a very limited time clock. https://youtu.be/lLr9JVmDotg

  • Kingmaker (Pathfinder 2e) 3.09

The group continues to explore the ruined keep, deep in the wilderness west of their kingdom. Dealing with Fey strikes and multiple magical traps, the group is damaged but defiant as they seek to gather all the riches of the site. Meanwhile, with a change to the Kingdom phase (now being done offline as a background process), the scouts have indicated that they have located the source of the Troll threat. https://youtu.be/XZdML69sWrA

  • Dwarf Treasure Hunters (Mordheim) – Grimnar Ironhand

Continuing my painting tutorial series with a Dwarf Noble model, and the start of a new Mordheim warband – the Dwarf Treasure Hunters. As my warband leader, Grimnar Ironhand provides the stubbornness and strength of the dwarves, ready to face any challenges that may come their way. I tried a few alternate techniques this time, including painting the eyes and trying some highlighting. Some good, some not so good, but the model in the end turned out nice. If you have a similar model, or just want to follow along for some tips, join in the discussion.
