Our Rolemaster campaign continues, as the group begins to explore the new town. With new friends and contacts, but still troubled by the attack on and destruction of their home, they push the locals for aid and assistance, but are met with disbelief and confusion. Stress boils over, until the group is able to strike out in desperation. Meanwhile, upcoming events are revealed, and some more background history is discovered. As we close out (for the time being) the Pathfinder Kingmaker campaign, we kick off our new campaign with the group, using the Shadowrun 5e ruleset. Another round of Star Wars Legion is available now, with a shorter battle between the Empire and the Rebels. I again field my Han and Chewy force, focusing this time on my tactics and command cards as I try to improve their ability. Our adventures resume with the group continuing their search for survivors of the attack on their village. New mysteries unfold as many clues are found, but no real answers. Eventually the group travels away from the village, into lands unknown. Beyond the trees, the find a much different land, with many new things to explore as our campaign moves from prelude to real start. We have a new Star Wars Legion Battle Report, with the Rebels and Empire facing off. I am playing the Rebels, with Han and Chewy again, with a bit of an adjustment from my prior list. We are again highlighting the Weequay Speeder Tank, this time accompanied by the Landspeeder and a unit of Tauntauns. Meanwhile George brings General Veers and the Empire, fielding a dangerous Grav Tank. We are posting our final Kingmaker session for a while, after a near party-wipe in the storyline. Fortunately, some of the group managed to survive and make it back to Raventhorn, but the majority of the party was lost to the lich Vordekai. As this point, the group has become a bit burnt out on Pathfinder, this is now our 5th major campaign, and eager for a change of pace. Our Rolemaster Unified campaign continues, with the group engaging the strange creature’s attacking Hadryn’s Hold. Many villagers are killed, and many more disappear mysteriously, while the group works to survive the night. This episode is a good example of why not to plan and pre-script games – I had envisioned the group going one way, and they as a whole went an entirely different direction.
