Wanted to highlight some of my son’s efforts, as well as my own. While I have been busy painting up Rebels for Legion, he has been working on technique and practise with a collection of Galactic Republic Clones. We will both be participating in the upcoming skirmish league, so have motivation to finalize our painting.

I honestly don’t know the reference he is using for the colors, though I know it is based on the Clone Wars shows. With some advice, his process is fairly straight forward – a wash of dark grey and a heavy drybrush of white. This ends up with an obviously white, but dirty look, and minimizes the amount of time needed to shade different areas.

The bases still need to be finalized, and I am not sure of his approach yet for separating units, but they are looking certainly tabletop ready for battle.
