d20Pro

Switched gears over the weekend, and started working on a new RPG campaign, to eventually use some sort of virtual tabletop.  Initially, I had considered using Fantasy Grounds, but I am also experimenting now with d20Pro, mainly for its ability to do line of site and individual perspectives.  In our gaming group, we have a desire to start a second game, but with the lack of a reliable location, an online version may be a workable option.  However, if we are going to do so, I really want to take advantage of the advantages a VTT brings (namely hidden information).

The concept is to play a Shadowrun 5th edition campaign, but that may not be workable only due to the lack of general support on software.  The fallback second option is Pathfinder, and I have been working thru material for the Mummy’s Mask campaign.  If nothing else, this will give me the education needed for the tabletop option, and enough to test out different theories.  At that point, I may switch over to Shadowrun, if I think that the tabletop system can handle it without too much pain and prep work.
