Token Organizer

In our recent Star Wars Legion games, it has become obvious that token tracking is challenging. The game operates with a collection of tokens, which are intended to be placed on the board near the respective unit, in order to track various affects and modifiers. This works well and is easy to track. However, when the units get crowded, and the number of tokens grows, it can become very easy to confuse which unit gets which tokens.

As a result, the concept of these token organizers was born, a method to collect and organize the tokens, and clearly indicate which unit they apply to. They are large enough to hold quite a few tokens, along with the command token for each respective unit. And they make a convenient method to move all tokens when the unit moves during the game.

Of course, these tools would work well for any similar game, they are not Star Wars Legion specific – though that is our primary use right now. Each piece is two layers of 3mm plywood, cut with the laser-engraver and glued together for assembly. Arguably, they would be simple to make with a 3d printer as well, but without different filament colors, would tend to not have enough contrast.

I have posted these for public use in my Etsy shop, as we slowly work to expand those options. The intent is not to necessarily use them for every unit, but to use as needed when the armies get crowded.

These new tools will be featured in future Legion games as a useful tool for our group.
