Extinction Curse Update

Haven’t posted for a bit, but our secondar Pathfinder campaign, the Extinction Curse, is still going strong. It has been a bit rough recently, due to a few character deaths, and a handful of scheduling conflicts, but we continue to make it work. At this point, the group is set to potentially wrap up Chapter 4 this weekend, depending on their course of actions.

In particular, several of the group find themselves in a moral challenge, faced with giving the villain what they wants, or risking the destruction of the city and the civilians. The party is split, and willing to sacrifice themselves if needed. The villain, a highly skilled Gug, who has secretly animated and controlled the Xulgath leader, has promised safety and peace in exchange for an artifact which she claims to want to take far away from the land. After the group hesitantly delivered the item, she did indeed call off the army and offer to leave in peace. However, several of the group were unwilling to trust her enough, and right as we ended, it was implied that a fight was about to begin.

For our next session, we will determine which course the group will take – it will no doubt have several implications for the local land and the forces in the region. And more than a few implications for the more aligned with religious or political powers.
