Successful Stream

Finally managed to get back to our Carrion Crown campaign yesterday and had a fairly successful stream session. Video is now working again, audio is solid, and the tools were pretty much on autopilot. There is a challenge remaining with Discord – I am trying to record both the output and allow the group to hear the voice (since some players are live, and some are remote). This leads to a notable echo on the recording, which is fortunately only for the occasional player. Going to try an alternative approach next time, and see if that resolves the issue.

For the game, we had our first true character death, with Francisco dying to a swarm of wraith spawn. With our adjusted hero-point systems, there is no auto-save at the point of death – players have to stay alive, or the group has to save them. After a fairly humorous series of fumbles and misses, the hapless adventurer fell before the undead, only to be slaughtered entirely after attempting to stand following some healing. Fortunately, he died to a spawn, rather than a full wraith, or the group would likely have been all overwhelmed.

Upcoming, we have our next Extinction Curse game this weekend, and I updated the banner graphics for the new format. I am liking the new colors a bit better – they are far more interesting than the basic background I had before. Can’t say they add too much in terms of audience, but at least they look a bit better in my eyes. Likely will go back and update the older videos with this format as well.
