The second of our merry band is a rebuild of the season 2 character, though now a descendant. Pokey Darkstrike is a Dwarf Fighter, played by my son, who has only recently started playing roleplaying games with us. As a player, he is eager and learning quickly, though of course has challenges occasionally when the game is slow (as it tends to be with 10 players).
Pokey is a thru and thru warrior, with a strong work ethic. His background is that of a laborer – spending long hours hauling heavy loads – which gives him an impressive encumbrance limit and a top of the line strength. He weilds an axe and shield, the shield lined with spikes from which he found his name.
For the adventure, Pokey was particularly interested in exercising his crafting skills at first, though the reality of the storyline has temporarily sidelined that pursuit. He is teamed up with the half-orc fighter and half-orc cleric, as a small adventuring band looking for trouble.
The figure is painted by my son, and is a dwarven fighter from Pathfinder Battles Deep Cuts line by Wizkids. By his request, he added the blood and gore to the spikes on the shield.
