Several months ago, I posted about my project to craft and create a trophy for our annual Magic the Gathering tournament. I managed to revisit this project this week, while I was spending time for work in Toledo. Didn’t end up having as much time as I had hoped (we had a big outage to deal with), but I did manage to get a nice base coat of black on the model. Admittedly, it looks like a large sculpture made out of tar, but that will be toned down heavily once I can start drybrushing and details.
Our second annual tournament is coming up on November 21 (day before Thanksgiving), so I still have time. However, I also seem to have lots of distractions that will make me forget about the effort as well.
