As our interest fades on Ark: Survival, we have converted over to the newly released Conan Exiles.  Still a survival game, but a much different world.  Gone are the dinosaurs, and now there are various tribes that fight against your growth to eventually conquering the world.  The interesting challenge is the subject matter, in comparison to our kids, who of course are eager to play.  The world of Conan is a rather adult one, and the game holds true to that.  Fortunately, much of the problem areas can be tweaked in the server settings, eliminating nudity and some of the gore – and much of the combat is with animals rather than people.  Still, it gives me a bit of pause at times.

We are continuing our existing Ark servers, at least until we are fully comfortable with the new game.  But we have also set up a new private server specifically for our gaming, to avoid the common pvp issues with these sorts of games.
