New Video Releases, 1/16/2026

We didn’t end up updating last week, since we had an unusual week (due to the new year) of no actual new content. Instead, we had a bit of a break to spend with family and friends, though we did get some preliminary (unfilmed) Rolemaster preparation in.

This week however we continue our various RPG campaigns with both Warhammer and Pathfinder. The battle reports are still lacking – I have several Mordheim battles to process that I have just been slacking on, but we haven’t had the schedule to record either Star Wars Legion or Bolt Action for the last several weeks. George has been helping me paint up a lot of terrain however, which is looking great, and will likely make an appearance for more Mordheim soon, and perhaps a Legion fight.

For Warhammer, our group is still lost in the caves, dealing with the epic path of Sigmar and the numerous challenges he had to face. This section does seem to be dragging out a bit, which is fine – it is supposed to be a very difficult journey – but the general lack of direction is causing the group to ultimately face every challenge, instead of only a selection as I had originally expected. At this point, they finally decide to try to cross the river of blood and then face the further challenges on the other side.

For Pathfinder, we kick off Chapter 5 with the Varnhold Vanishing, in which the group has been summoned to the neighboring colony of Varnhold to investigate why their recent town’s inhabitants have all gone missing. Wandering the village, the group has a few theories – there are clues of a potential centaur attack, the presence of Spriggan raiders, and a few other notable items, but I am not sure they have come up with a theory as of yet. Most of the session was exploring the various buildings and dealing with the few local creatures that have come into the town in the few weeks since the villagers abruptly disappeared.

On the technical side, our audio configuration seems much more stable and balanced now, and I think I have finished with the tinkering for now. The new audio mixer is working great, I really do like it despite its complexity, and (assuming I remember to turn everything on) it gives me several options for the processed video content. We are also still live-streaming each of the RPG games on Twitch, if you care to listen in there instead.
