New Video Releases, 10/24/2025
Busy week this week, with fresh videos being released. We managed to hold our most recent Kingmaker and Warhammer FRP sessions, as well as finally a return to Star Wars Legion with a brand new Tour of Duty format video.
The big release this week is the start of our Tour of Duty series, for Star Wars Legion. Josh returns, fielding his Separatist forces against George with a Rebel build. With the Tour mechanics, both start with 600 points, and no unique or named characters, making the battle much more soldier to soldier, rather than major character conflicts. We played using the Recon subset of rules, which doesn’t change the actual mechanics, but does limit both the field size and mission selection. Reference my other recent posting on some thoughts about the Tour of Duty system, but for now we will be continuing. The battle report required some notable changes to my typical video format, but I am now well prepared for future recordings.
In the Kingmaker campaign, the group deals with the fallout of their attack and slaughtering of the goblin village of Greengripe, and after emotions calm down, start investigating the new clues. After some searching, they manage to pick up the trail of the goblin leader, fleeing to the east. Hot on his trail, the group discovered a hidden cave, deep in the wilderness, with strange plants growths and fanatical cultists. A few attempts at diplomacy or scouting the cave reveals some significant dangers, but the group opts to push forward due to the dire need of their kingdom.
For our Warhammer campaign, the group is continuing their journey south from Altdorf, on the way eventually to Averheim, and then by road to the Black Fire Pass. In our previous session, we ended with the discovery of the burned and destroyed village of Shertal, leaving many questions unanswered by the group. With urging from Erdim however, they opted to not get distracted and continued on their journey, facing several additional delays and distractions along the way. We ended the session with the group outside of Streissen, where several of the Averheim factions have decided to use the current wars to settle some old scores.
