Terrain painting

Haven’t posted in a few days, thanks to a busy work schedule, editing schedule, and US holidays. With our most recent battle report, we managed to show off our recently painted terrain – I have been spending some evenings catching up on the old sets and pieces so that we can actually use them in games.

First up is the Wrecked AT-ST set, a single solid piece, and a nice common terrain piece for gaming. Stones are a combination of sandy yellow, red and brown washes, and a heavy grey drybrush. The soil is a layer of contrast paint, and the AT-ST itself was airbrushed a basic grey. To the entire model, I added a layer of my dark home-made wash, which came out pretty well and combined all the various pieces and colors.
