I just published our 40th episode yesterday, which will go live on May 12. This 800 pt battle report is a return to traditional Star Wars, with the Empire fighting the Rebellion. Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, and K-2SO face off against Darth Vader and the Dark Troopers.
The battle was a nail-biter, the momentum switching back and forth during each of the turns. Several times, both sides considered the battle a lost cause, but it wasn’t until Turn 6 when the winner was actually confirmed. Both players left happy with the results – it wasn’t a case of bad dice on one side, or bad tactics – just two friends playing a competitive game which was balanced and consistent.
You may notice in the video that K-2 and Cassian are unpainted, this battle motivated me to paint the figures which I was able to do partially before the video editing was completed. I also managed to get started on the T-47 Airspeeder, a model which has been lingering since very early in the game.
