In preparation for the secondary Pathfinder campaign, the Fall of Plaguestone, I crafted a pair of water features for the terrain. I had previously posted about this, but now the models are fully painted, and filled with resin.

Overall, I am rather happy with the results. The clear resin worked very well, and I managed to eliminate all the bubbles – the result is a glass like clarity. If anything, it may be too clear – perhaps some debris or other material would have improved it.

The color transition on the clean water isnt exactly what I was hoping for – initially I had it painted with a better depth transition. Unfortunately the ink wash and the resin ended up blending it further than intended. It still looks good, but not entirely what I was going for.

In person, these look very nice – the pictures don’t really do justice to the end product. For the game, it worked well – the group managed to position themselves directly next to the slime pool for a long period, making the fight much more difficult as the caustic gases caused a fair bit of damage.

As a side benefit – these will work well in Star Wars Legion or other wargaming efforts.
