We are continuing to work on painting and assembling all of the core set for Shatterpoint, which proved to be quite a task. Assembly is finally finished after a couple of weeks, and I am now starting on the painting effort.
First to be tackled was the B1 units – these are quick and easy to paint, but crazy detailed to assemble. In the process, I ended up painting all of the various bases in order to be consistent.
Painting approach was as simple as Legion – a full layer of Skeleton Horde Contrast and some Black Templar for the weapons. A little bit of yellow detail on the shoulders and on the squad leader, and the models are completed. I doubt any of the other figures will be as simple and straightforward, but then there is only one of each of the others.
