• Acceptable Losses – Welcome to Junction Nine (0.01 – Shadowrun 5e)

We kick off our new Shadowrun based actual play campaign with a visit to Junction Nine, a custom location deep in the Seattle sprawl of 2072. This neighborhood is serving as the starting location for all of our characters, with the majority have secured living spaces in Alvarez Apartments. We introduce 6 of our 7 characters, they start with some initial familiarity to the game systems, and eventually manage to get themselves into a spot of trouble. Par for the course with Shadowrun. It will likely take us a bit to get sorted with the mechanics, and our new technology…

  • Welcome to Junction Nine

As we prepare to kick off our new Shadowrun campaign, the players have been actively providing concept art and character backgrounds. I continue to be impressed by the effort and world building they are putting in. As a result, I started to dive into the world building on my end as well. Our basic premise is street level runners in Seattle of 2072. I do not lean into the “official” world, there is just too much content to read and absorb and not enough time. Instead, consider any published material as inspirational, but likely not be followed. Instead, our group…

  • Hadryn’s Hold – The Group Portrait

I will preface this by saying I am not an artist, but I am more than willing to support anyone who can create artwork. If you have the talent and willingness, I would much rather have a legitimate person create artwork for our storylines. However, I have neither the budget or the list of volunteers that can fulfill that need, so I rely on modern AI tools. My apologies if that offends you. As a result, I have been having some fun with AI tools, and created the current group of adventurers. The images are scaled in the following lineup…

  • Hadryn’s Hold – Welcome to Brindol Ford (Rolemaster Unified)

Our Rolemaster campaign continues, as the group begins to explore the new town. With new friends and contacts, but still troubled by the attack on and destruction of their home, they push the locals for aid and assistance, but are met with disbelief and confusion. Stress boils over, until the group is able to strike out in desperation. Meanwhile, upcoming events are revealed, and some more background history is discovered. Options for activities and work continue to expand, though some of the groups start to become a bit more suspect. https://youtu.be/m8fgLPIRQEs

  • Acceptable Losses 0.00 (Shadowrun 5e)

As we close out (for the time being) the Pathfinder Kingmaker campaign, we kick off our new campaign with the group, using the Shadowrun 5e ruleset. Our first session is live now, a basic Session 0 character generation session. It can be difficult to follow at times, but if you want the behind the scenes details on character decisions, discussions, and concepts, this is the place to go for our group. We are no means experts at the game, so I am sure there are and will be many mechanical mistakes along the way. Our story is set in the…

  • Star Wars Legion – Battle Report 127

Another round of Star Wars Legion is available now, with a shorter battle between the Empire and the Rebels. I again field my Han and Chewy force, focusing this time on my tactics and command cards as I try to improve their ability. Ben joins the fight fielding Director Krennic and the Deathtroopers, in his first outing since the release of the Imperial Command – meaning it is a bit of a learning curve for both of us. https://youtu.be/Smn_l8WPYcw

  • Hadryn’s Hold 003 (Rolemaster Unified)

Our adventures resume with the group continuing their search for survivors of the attack on their village. New mysteries unfold as many clues are found, but no real answers. Eventually the group travels away from the village, into lands unknown. Beyond the trees, the find a much different land, with many new things to explore as our campaign moves from prelude to real start. In the course of the adventure, we also discover two additional religious organizations. The Open Road philosophy welcomes all, since helping one another makes the world prosper. In a nearby town, the group encounters The Eternal…

  • Star Wars Legion – Battle Report 126

We have a new Star Wars Legion Battle Report, with the Rebels and Empire facing off. I am playing the Rebels, with Han and Chewy again, with a bit of an adjustment from my prior list. We are again highlighting the Weequay Speeder Tank, this time accompanied by the Landspeeder and a unit of Tauntauns. Meanwhile George brings General Veers and the Empire, fielding a dangerous Grav Tank. Many units died on both sides, and we fought the battle to the end of turn 5 – a good time was had by all. https://youtu.be/tiukU6IcAz4
